Gunship Battle 

Summary

  • Goal : destroy the other ship through the use of guns.
  • When your guns get frozen have a tank, a healer and some dps jump over to the other ship to take the enemy mage down.
  • While people are on board the enemy ship it’s captain will gain a stacking buff that increases his damage done. So, when your raid starts taking too much damage jump back.
  • A pulsating type graphic will appear on the floor where rockets are about to land. Try to move out in time.
  • Aoe down the adds.
  • Try to tank all the adds on your own ship, adds that aren’t tanked will damage the ship.
  • Ranged should switch between the adds on your own ship and the enemy riflemen on the enemy ship, Try not to let either group get too large.

Transcript 

Before the battle starts everyone should go the npc and take a rocket pack. Even if you are not jumping on the enemy ship it’s still useful to have one. Right click to equip it. Then you can drag it to your action bar or even have a key bind for it. You can test it out till the battle starts.

As it can be seen you are on a ship and you are fighting against the enemy faction ship. The ship’s hps are displayed. Your goal is to take down the enemy ship before your own ship gets destroyed. You damage the enemy ship through the use of cannons. The enemy damages your ship using ranged adds.

Also , the adds that port to your ship will do damage to it if they don’t have aggro on a player. The more time the adds spend on your ship the more experienced they become. The more experienced they become the more damage they do. They gain attack power and armor. So it is best to take them down quickly.

You should have one or 2 tanks picking up the adds.The Seargents should be taken down 1st as they are the most dangerous, they behave like warriors, doing a Mortal Strike that will reduce healing on your tank by 40% and they will also Bladestorm. If you can’t notice the bladestorm because too many adds are bunched up then you should just move away from the adds when you see you are taking damage. As always melee should cleave dps the adds.

Your ranged group should be positioned in a line on the side of your ship , around where the canons are. From there they can constantly dps. They can attack the enemy ranged adds that are on the other ship and that are damaging your own ship. At the same time they can also lend a hand when too many adds pile up on your ship. When 4 or more adds are close together it is effective to start using mass aoe, Blizzard, Rain of Fire, Hurricane and so on.

Notice the pulsating graphic on the floor. This is where rockets are about to hit. Try to stay out of them.

Periodically your guns will get frozen. This is when your strike team, made out of 1 tank, 1 or 2 healers and some dps, will jump over to the enemy ship. The tank and healer are necessary and should jump 1st because the enemy leader needs to be tanked.

Just tank him and don’t worry about the other adds, they are not aggressive. What you need to focus on is the enemy mage. The mage is channeling a spell that is freezing up your guns. You must kill this mage. Once you kill this mage you should jump back to your own ship, adds have been piling up during this time.

Also another reason for not spending too much time on the enemy ship is that, while the enemy leader has aggro on someone on his own ship, he gets a stacking buff that increases his damage done. When no one is on his ship that buff is reset. Spend too much time on the enemy ship and your tank will eventually die.

The mage usually goes down fast and if your raid is melee heavy and if the tank has no problem staying alive you can spend a bit more time dpsing the ranged enemy adds.

Just make sure you jump back before the tank and healer do or you will get enemy leader aggro. The enemy leader can still hold agro when you jump back if you are too close to the edge. So move a bit towards the center of your ship if you have aggro. Also try not to leave any totems or pets on the other ship.

The people in the cannons will be able to use 2 abilities. Cannon Blast and Incinerating Blast. Cannon Blast does damage and generates heat. Try to aim so as to dps the enemy ship and some ranged adds. Incinerating blast uses the heat and converts it into extra damage. Use incinerating blast once you reach around 90 heat. At 100 your cannon overheats and you waste some dps.
